Breaking Ground: Our New Renton Neighborhood is Underway
We're excited to share that site work has officially started on our newest short plat neighborhood in Renton. This is the first update in a series we'll be sharing as the project moves from cleared land to finished homes, so consider this your front row seat to watch it all come together.
Clearing the Land
The first phase of any new neighborhood starts with prep work, and that's exactly what's happening now. Bulldozers have moved in to clear the site, the old driveway has been demolished, and crews are trenching for the pipe and electrical lines that will service the new lots. Dan has been out at the property regularly, walking the site and keeping a close eye on progress each day.
Once this stage wraps up, the property will officially become a plat, with three individual lots ready for construction.
Three Homes, Three Distinct Personalities
We're currently working through floor plans for each of the three lots. One is already settled, a design we've built several times before, though we're working with our architect to update the exterior elevation so it feels current and up to date. The other two floor plans are still coming together. One of the lots has a more unique shape than the others, so finding the right footprint has taken some extra thought.
Our goal for this neighborhood is for the three homes to feel like they belong together from the street, while each one has its own character on the inside.
What's Next
Right now, most of the work is happening below the surface, literally. Once the plat is finalized, we'll move into permitting and the next phase of design work. We'll share more updates as the lots take shape, from foundation to framing to finished homes.
